Archives for Otto and George Stories

my sisters keeper

Dear Otto, many people knew you as an entertainer and a funny, talented guy.  I was lucky enough to have you as my brother-in-law…my little sisters ‘other’ half.  You were part of our family in good times and bad.  Summers by the pool and over eating at the holiday’s.  I am not really sure where our souls go after we pass, but I am asking you with all of my being to please shine down on Tricia and give her the strength and love that she will need to put one foot in front of the other and please continue to

Missing Otto

We will never forget the time Otto performed near our home in Philadelphia. We laughed really hard. But the best part was after the performance. Otto came to chat with us, and the difference between his on-stage presence and off-screen demeanor could not have been more striking. He was so considerate and wanted to make sure that we had a good time. He wanted to give us all Otto and George T-shirts and was just in general a really sweet, good guy. (i don’t know if we could say the same about George.)  We will miss you Otto.   Albert

Family Man

Otto loved taking care of Trish and Dell. He was so proud when he accomplished some domestic task like cutting the lawn or doing the grocery shopping. He loved to cook and he made the best antipasto for all the family gatherings. We all miss him so much! Otto, I’m sure you know we will take good care of your “yettle family”

Won me over

Never saw him live. Just heard him on the radio. At first I kind of didn’t like him after the stern interview. After a few appearances on OandA I literally spit water out my mouth at some of his comments. He was hilarious and I really liked forward to his appearance on the oanda show. God speed.

Theater of Magic

I remember Otto, my little brother, taking me to midtown Manhattan in the early 70’s to introduce me to his new world.  We walked around and he did some street performing with his dummy.  He took me to a small place I think was called the Theater of Magic where he introduced me to his friends the sword swallower and Lady Estelline and a couple of other strange characters.  I won’t say that Otto fit right in, but it was close.  It was a magical experience and I envied his unique talents and lifestyle from then on.  He never took
